Yampa Valley Gives Day Rally planned for Friday
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — A rally to raise awareness about Yampa Valley Gives Day will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30 on the lawn of the historic Routt County Courthouse on Lincoln Avenue. The local day of giving is held in conjunction with Colorado Gives Day, a statewide celebration to increase online charitable giving.
Routt County Commissioner Tim Corrigan will attend the rally and proclaim Dec. 4 as Colorado Gives Day in the Yampa Valley. Representatives from Yampa Valley Community Foundation and the Yampa Valley Gives Board also will be making remarks.
On Colorado Gives Day, donations are accepted online at YampaValleyGives.org, which connects donors with more than 60 local nonprofits.
In 2017, Yampa Valley Gives raised more than $750,000 in 24 hours.
