Yampa Valley Fly Fishers to host monthly meeting Wednesday

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Yampa Valley Fly Fishers will host its next meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Rex’s American Grill. This month’s speaker is Cody Scott from Blue Quill Anglers in Evergreen. He will be presenting on three saltwater destination fisheries: Cuba, Mexico and Louisiana.

Scott was born and raised in the mountains of Colorado and spends all of his time exploring fishing, skiing, climbing, biking and hiking opportunities in those same mountains. Just about 11 years ago he started working for the Blue Quill Angler in Evergreen, where he was teaching and guiding fly-fishing as well as spending four to five days a week in the shop. He is now the full-time buyer and inventory manager for the fly shop.

The meeting, which includes pizza and a drawing for fly-fishing gear, is free and open to the public.
