‘Yampa is Wild’ mural project in need of painting volunteers

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — “The Yampa is Wild” mural artist Jill Bergman, who was commissioned by Friends of the Yampa to create Steamboat’s newest large-scale mural, is looking for creative volunteers.

Jill Bergman will be leading the prepping and painting of the new mural indoors before it is attached with adhesive gel to the Ambulance Barn, which is next to the footbridge over the Yampa River between Ninth and 10th streets.

The mural is being created in partnership with the Steamboat Springs Arts Council, city of Steamboat Springs, Steamboat Springs Area Fire Protection District and Routt County Search & Rescue.

Those interested in getting involved should sign up via the online form or visit friendsoftheyampa.com for more information.
