Work to continue on both ends of Lincoln in Steamboat

Pilot & Today staff

— Construction continues this week on both ends of Lincoln Avenue in downtown Steamboat Springs, thereby restricting vehicular access to 13th Street and some side streets.

The construction zone is expected to stretch from Sixth Street to Third Street on the north side of Lincoln Avenue, and from 11th Street to 13th Street on the south side.

Pedestrians and cyclists are asked to cross only at Fifth, Seventh or Ninth streets and avoid going through the construction zones.

Turns through the construction zone again will be limited. Eastbound drivers can turn north, toward Oak Street, only from Seventh, Eighth and Ninth streets. An officer will direct traffic at Seventh Street. Westbound drivers also can turn north at 10th, 11th and 12th streets.

Eastbound drivers can turn right toward Yampa Street at Fifth through Ninth streets, and westbound drivers can turn left toward Yampa Street at Fifth, Seventh and Ninth streets.

Steamboat Springs Transit will continue to pick up and drop off bus passengers near Fifth, Seventh, Ninth and 11th streets along Lincoln Avenue.
