Women’s Giving Circle donates more than $10K to 11 organizations

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — The Women’s Giving Circle met Sept. 25 for its annual gathering. Collectively, the group granted $10,640 to 11 organizations on behalf of a number of individuals and families in need.

Receiving organizations were Horizons, Integrated Community, Routt to Work, Yampa Valley High School, Northwest Colorado Center for Independence, Advocates Building Peaceful Communities and LiftUp Routt County.

Grants will help provide a new refrigerator for a single mother, rent assistance for a local senior, bill assistance for a local family and many other emergency needs in the community.
The Women’s Giving Circle seeks proposals on a rolling basis for their year-round granting. Donations of $250 or more are pooled with gifts from all the women in the Giving Circle.

The Giving Circle has a current balance of $6,382 and welcomes new members to join to meet the ongoing requests for funding. The program is sponsored by the Yampa Valley Community Foundation. Visit YVCF.org/womens-giving-circle for more information.
