Soroco seniors Kimberlie Williamson and Kalvert Shiner were named to the Western Slope League’s honorable mention All-League team.

Williamson led the team with 122 blocks during the season and was voted by her team as the Player of the Year.

Shiner led the team with 167 points scored.

The Rams ended the season with their annual awards banquet late last month. In addition to awards handed out to Williamson and Shiner, six other players received individual recognition.

Jamie Kendall led the team in passing percentage. Kyla Schmidt had the most attacks. Cortni Denning was the top setter; Amanda Wilson and Glenda Long shared Rookie of the Year honors and Coty Bruggink was give the Will to Win award.

“The year ended great,” coach Valerie Remick said. “Awards night is supposed to be the finale and it was.”

Varsity players Denning, Schmidt, Kendall, Wilson, Long, Toni Lombardi, Emily Strait and Kelsey Samuelson all return next season.
