WILLIAM DAVID PAXTON

1925-2001

William David Paxton, 76, died Nov. 26, 2001, in Rifle.

He was born Aug. 28, 1925, in Oak Creek.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator.

William was a veteran who served in the Navy. He was a past

member of the VFW.

He is survived by five sons, Edward Paxton and wife Penney of Oak Creek, William Paxton and wife Virginia of Oak Creek, Michael Paxton of Denver, Glenn Paxton and wife Debi of Las Vegas, Nev., James Paxton and wife Christy of LaPorte; two daughters, Eunice Linton and husband Michael of Craig and Mary Fuchs and husband Larry of Juneau, Alaska; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Nov. 30 at the Oak Creek Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in William’s name can be made to the Colorado State Veteran’s Nursing Home in Rifle.
