Wedding Fair will be bigger than ever
Nikki Knoebel is busy organizing Steamboat’s annual Wedding Fair, which this year will be bigger than ever.
Knoebel said last year’s event attracted about 50 vendors and a little more than 100 brides. She expects more for this year’s fair, whicj will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 24 in the Sheraton Steamboat Resort Hotel ballroom.
Steamboat is an ideal site for a wedding fair, Knoebel said.
“Steamboat has become a big wedding destination,” she said.
A wide array of vendors will be represented at the fair. Already, 75 have registered, and vendors still can sign up. She also expects between 150 and 200 brides to attend the event.
Vendors represented at last year’s fair included caterers, accommodation providers, entertainers, bands, deejays, transportation services, specialty services, floral shops, photographers, makeup consultants, hair designers, tuxedo rentals, videographers and more.
Caterers and bakers will have tasty samples, and local bands and deejays will perform.
Knoebel said the Wedding Fair makes it easy for couples to make choices and establish contacts with vendors who can help with their weddings.
“A lot of times when brides are a little overwhelmed with what do and who to talk to, this gives them a better of idea of planning the overwhelming process of planning your wedding,” she said.
Vendors interested in participating in the fair can call Knoebel at 846-2083.
Knoebel said she always is looking for people to help plan next year’s Wedding Fair.
“Were always looking fosr thoughts or ideas for next year,” she said.
