VIDEO: Arnold Barn takes first steps toward new home

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — The Arnold Barn was on the move Wednesday afternoon as crews from Bailey House Movers transported the historic structure to the Meadows Parking Lot from a wetland adjacent to the parking lot. The final leg of the journey will require the barn to travel 1,000 feet up Mount Werner Road to its new home on a knoll above the intersection of Mount Werner Road and Mount Werner Circle. The move is slated to begin at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Motorists in the area should expect delays and detours during the process, which is expected to take up to two and a half hours.
