Ulrich Salzgeber: Thanks, Andy Wirth

As we say farewell to Andy Wirth, we would be remiss if we didn’t recognize and celebrate everything that Andy has done for Steamboat Springs.

In many ways Andy grew up in this town, at least professionally. He would be hard to recognize as that intern at Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp.

Andy brought a spirit of collaboration and common sense to all aspects of his professional and community involvement. He championed many projects and initiatives that have positively touched most of us in the Yampa Valley.

You knew that when you were in a meeting or on a committee with Andy that something would be accomplished.

Most important, Andy loves Routt County and embraced its heritage and personality. He is one of those special people who you always are glad to see and have a conversation with.

Although we should thank Andy for all that he has done for us, he will tell you that it is Steamboat that has done so much for him. I know that he will take the spirit of Steamboat with him for the rest of his life and spread that spirit wherever his adventures may lead.
