Twin Enviro Services acquires Old West Sanitation’s Routt County business

Steamboat Today

— A little more than a year after it picked up Old West Sanitation’s Moffat County operations, Twin Enviro Services has taken over the company’s Routt County trash collection business.

In December 2012, Old West’s owner, Benji Berg, said that he was selling the Moffat County portion of the business to focus on Steamboat. Now, Twin Enviro Services is taking over Old West’s contracts across Routt County.

Twin Enviro Services President and CEO David Epstein said in December 2012 that the business acquired several hundred residential customers in Moffat County in addition to several hundred commercial customers. According to Berg, Old West’s customer base in Routt County was significantly larger than in Moffat County.

Twin Enviro Services also owns and operates the Milner Landfill.

Neither Epstein nor Berg were available for comment.
