Town Challenge returns to Emerald
The Town Challenge Mountain Bike series returns Wednesday with the second race of the summer, the Emerald Envy XC on Emerald Mountain.
Racing gets underway at 5:25 p.m. with the youth divisions and at 6:05 p.m. with the pro/open classification.
The race starts and finishes on the south side of Romick Rodeo Arena and includes mostly a long trip up, then a long trip down the mountain, with about 1,800 feet of vertical gain.
The pro/open and expert course is 13.5 miles. The sport and youth divisions will go 10.5 miles, and the novices will ride 7.4 miles.
Registration is available online at http://www.TownChallenge.com or on site before the race.
This race marks the last chance to buy a season pass, currently priced at $155 for adults and $60 for children.
