Tour de Steamboat registration opens Jan. 15

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — The 2019 Tour de Steamboat non-competitive cycling event July 20 has added a new 100-mile Bingham Built Gravel Gruel to its four classic routes. The gravel route will take riders up Rabbit Ears Pass, through Buffalo Park to Gore Pass and back to Steamboat via Lynx Pass, Stagecoach Reservoir, Sarvis Creek and Routt County Road 14.

This hometown ride also offers scenic routes of 26, 46, 66 and 116 miles. Riders of all ages and abilities are welcome.

After the ride, participants enjoy a barbecue and beer garden with five local microbreweries at Little Toots Park. All proceeds from the Tour de Steamboat benefit Yampa Valley Sustainability Council, Reaching Everyone Preventing Suicide, Routt County Riders and Partners in Routt County.

All registered riders will have a chance at three prizes including a custom Eriksen road or gravel bike, a DT Swiss wheelset and Momentum fat tire cruiser bike. Interested riders can learn more and register online at
