Todd Musselman: Thank you volunteers

On behalf of Yampa Valley Fly Fishers/Trout Unlimited Chapter and the Yampa Valley Stream Improvement Charitable Trust, we would like to extend a special thanks to the volunteers, fly-fishing guides, fly shop owners and landowners who donated their time and property to support the 17th annual Golf Trout Tournament throughout the weekend of Sept. 12 to 14.

Their generosity provided an opportunity to raise significant funds for youth education and outreach programs and the continued riparian and stream bed improvements of the Yampa River in several local river projects including but not limited to the Chuck Lewis area.

Each individual’s willingness to donate their valuable time, business and property, during a busy fall weekend, is really appreciated and reminds us of the great community we live in here in Steamboat Springs.  Once again, thank you.

I have been skiing about 15 years now, learning to Nordic ski in gym class in elementary school and grew up Alpine skiing at Okemo Mountain in my home state of Vermont. I’m by no means a daredevil but I am comfortable on Alpine skis and my ability to get around in them.
