Tigers fall in three sets

Hayden High School Tigers

A slow start cost the Hayden High School volleyball team playing at home Friday evening.

The Tigers were at their sharpest in the third game, but couldn’t prevent North Park from winning the match, 3-0. The Wildcats won, 25-21, 25-14, 25-23.

“It was the momentum. We couldn’t quite get it going in the first two games,” coach Dayna Hall said. “In the third one, they played great. They really did.”

She pointed to Allison Ingols and Kyra Bennett as having had good nights and noted Cassidy Crawford’s efforts passing the ball.

Next up for Hayden, 3-13, is a trip Saturday to play at Plateau Valley. The Tigers will then likely be at home next week in a pigtail game to start the district tournament.
