Thomas W. McMahon: Coulter offensive

Your choice of Ann Coulter for the ViewPoints section of your paper is extremely offensive.

Coulter drapes herself in the flag and patriotism but spews the venom and hate that this country has always tried to repress. She is so involved with her own self-serving agenda that she unfortunately thinks that being a jerk is patriotism. Of course, her heroes George W. Bush and Dick Cheney are always ready to call anyone who doesn’t support their ideas 100 percent “un-American.”

Being hurtful, disrespectful, and downright rude, as Ms. Coulter is, is not a “ViewPoint” but a religion gone bad. There is no milk of human kindness strong enough to purge this stench.

Please stop encouraging this idiotic lack of journalism by printing it in your paper. The world has enough depressing news without printing “Mein Kampf” Coulter-style.
