Police, fire and ambulance calls

2:05 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a bear in the 1500 block of Shadow Run Court.

2:47 a.m. Yampa Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person with breathing difficulty in the first block of Moffat Avenue in Oak Creek.



8:27 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a purse stolen the previous day from a restaurant in the 1700 block of Central Park Drive.

9:59 a.m. Officers were called to a report of an electric keyboard and case found at Bob Adams Drive and 12th Street.



10:46 a.m. Officers were called to a report of bears getting into trash in the first block of Anglers Drive.

12:07 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a stolen moving van found in the 1300 block of 13th Street while a person was doing inventory. About two months ago, it had been brought to the lot, and there may have been people living out of it. It was reported stolen out of Las Vegas.

12:44 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person with chest pain in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue.

2:09 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a 911 harassment in the 2700 block of West End Avenue.

2:38 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a civil complaint at the police department.

3:26 p.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a threat at The Lowell Whiteman School. Officials are looking for a former student they think sent a threatening email.

4:41 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a diamond ring found on the sidewalk in the first block of 10th Street.

5:08 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a disturbance in the 61000 block of Routt County Road 129.

7:18 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to a report of a rollover crash near mile marker 16 on C.R. 33.

8:17 p.m. Officers saw a bear at Ski Trail Lane and Après Ski Way.

8:32 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza. It was gone when officers arrived.

9:34 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a noise complaint at Pine Grove Road and JD Hays Way. A college soccer club was being loud and playing loud music.

11:31 p.m. Officers contacted a suspicious car at Village Drive and Blackhawk Court.
