Police, fire and ambulance calls

12:42 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a bear in a dumpster at Yampa and 11th streets. It was gone when officers arrived.

10:01 a.m. A wallet was found on Fish Creek Falls Road and turned in to officers.



12:18 p.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of a person in the 1000 block of Longview Circle. The person was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center.

5:01 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person bitten by a dog two days ago on the Yampa River Core Trail.



5:14 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious person in the 1100 block of South Lincoln Avenue. A man had been seen drinking earlier and was screaming at a woman getting gas. The 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of menacing.

6:37 p.m. Officers were called to a report of $63 worth of gas stolen from a station in the 2000 block of Curve Plaza.
