Police, fire and ambulance calls

2:47 p.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of trespassing at a hotel in the 2200 block of Village Inn Court. A security officer found a 26-year-old man with no shoes sleeping on a couch on the third floor. He was not a guest and refused to leave, telling the security officer “make me leave.” Police suspected the man was under the influence of drugs because his impairment was not consistent with drinking alcohol. He was taken off the property.

8:01 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who lost a wallet at Colorado Mountain College.



11:27 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who was upset and yelling at cars at Wildhorse Marketplace. He got on a bus and left the area.

11:51 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a fight at Steamboat Springs High School. No injuries were reported.



12:57 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car on U.S. Highway 40 that was heading toward Steamboat, speeding and passing illegally. The car could not be located.

12:57 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident at a gas station in the 900 block of Weiss Drive. A person was approached by a couple of men who were trying to sell stereo equipment. They drove away and were contacted by a U.S. Forest Service officer on Rabbit Ears Pass. The officer did not think the men had done anything illegal.

6:31 p.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of a woman, who was possibly drunk and taking care of kids. The Routt County Human Services Department was contacted to check on the woman.

6:42 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car being driven with people inside who were passing a “marijuana pipe.” The car could not be located.

9 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people arguing in the 2400 block of Lincoln Avenue.

9:16 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who wanted to complain about a car idling in the 1100 block of 13th Street.

9:42 p.m. Officers investigated a suspicious car that was parked partially on a sidewalk in the 2000 block of Curve Plaza.

10:57 p.m. Officers were called to a report of loud music and banging on walls in the 2500 block of Après Ski Way. The people were given a verbal warning.

11:22 p.m. Officers stopped a car at Seventh and Oak streets and arrested a 21-year-old woman on suspicion of DUI.
