Police, fire and ambulance calls
1:11 p.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a missing person at Fifth and Yampa streets. A girl who was tubing with her family fell in the Yampa River and was seen getting out of the water. She was found about 30 minutes later at Bud Werner Memorial Library.
1:14 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a two-car, noninjury crash in the 1700 block of Lincoln Avenue. A trailer hit a parked semitrailer.
2:01 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a fight in the Steamboat Springs High School parking lot. It was a verbal argument. A man was trying to leave the area, but a woman was trying to stop him. Officers separated the individuals.
2:15 p.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of criminal mischief in the Wagonwheel development. Someone reportedly cut down a tree on private property without permission.
3:52 p.m. Officers were called to a report of harassment in the 1800 block of Elk River Plaza. A person reportedly exhibited harassing behavior in a business. The person was warned.
4:25 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a hit-and-run in the 1600 block of Mid Valley Drive. A man found damage to his tail light after exiting a business.
5:13 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a theft in the 1000 block of Lincoln Avenue. A woman said she was not paid after a consignment item sold.
6:05 p.m. Officers were called to a report of criminal mischief on Pamela Lane. Speed bumps on Pamela Lane were spray-painted with neon paint.
6:53 p.m. Officers were called to a report of harassment in the 200 block of Pine Street. A woman reported getting harassing calls and text messages. The messages came from out of state. Officers took a report for the other jurisdiction.
7:37 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a disturbance in the 3800 block of Routt County Road 53. The disturbance was dogs in the area.
9:57 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of fireworks in the 3600 block of Tree Haus Drive. They were unable to locate whoever shot them.
10:20 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a hit-and-run at Sixth Street and Lincoln Avenue. A person reported his or her parked car was hit.
10:22 p.m. Officers were called to perform a welfare check at Fifth and Yampa streets. A woman reported that a man was sitting on the Fifth Street Bridge and would not talk to her. He was fine.
10:33 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a car crash at mile marker 3 on Routt County Road 46. A car was found in a ditch and might have been left there after a crash.
11:05 p.m. Offices were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 800 block of Howelsen Parkway. A person reported a car speeding near Howelsen Hill. Officers were unable to locate it.
11:33 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of shots fired at the Fish Creek Falls trailhead. It was fireworks.
