Police, fire and ambulance calls
6:16 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person who fell at a gas station in the 500 block of South Lincoln Avenue.
7:18 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of trespassing in the 500 block of Second Street. A resident had questions about whether a utility company could come onto the property.
10:07 a.m. North Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help with a crash in the 54100 block of Routt County Road 129.
11:34 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious car parked for the past three days in front of a brewery in the 2800 block of Elk River Road. The owner was contacted.
11:42 a.m. Officers were called to a report of male genitalia drawn in the dirt on a person’s car window in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza. The person who reported it had the same thing happen previously.
11:48 a.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of a 5-year-old boy who was riding a bike alone in the 300 block of Old Fish Creek Falls Road. The child was located and was with adults.
1:59 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a $75,000 piece of construction equipment stolen from a site near Little Toots Park. Police located the equipment and arrested a suspect.
6:02 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken man sitting in the road at Whistler Road and Mountain Village Circle. He was gone when officers arrived.
7:35 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person with a medical problem at Ninth Street and Lincoln Avenue.
7:42 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a fight in the 3000 block of Columbine Drive. Two men were grilling and an ember caught a tarp on fire. A neighbor came over, started yelling at the men and pushed one of them. The neighbor told police the fire was 20 feet high, and he was upset the men allowed it to happen.
8:30 p.m. Officers were called to a report of shots fired in the 3300 block of Whistler Road. Someone was practicing drawing their gun from a holster, and it accidentally went off. The bullet went in the wall.
10:16 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a disturbance in the 1300 block of Sparta Plaza. A drunken man was yelling at a man with mental disabilities who was trying to get into a unit they did not live in. Police helped the man find his unit.
