Police, fire and ambulance calls
2:16 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a stolen Jeep Grand Cherokee in the 900 block of Mountain Village Circle. Police found the Jeep and arrested a 25-year-old California man on suspicion of felony bribery, felony motor vehicle theft, DUI and driving without a license. Police said the man offered them $50 to “drive home.”
2:38 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who came in and was acting very strangely at Yampa Valley Medical Center.
7:15 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a missing person in the 2300 block of Storm Meadows Drive. The person was located before officers arrived.
8 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious person in the 2700 block of Honeysuckle, where a woman saw a person changing clothes in a yard. It was a construction worker.
10:30 a.m. Officers were called to a report of harassment at a restaurant in the 800 block of Oak Street. A woman had been having problems with a couple of women.
11:08 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a runaway juvenile in the 1400 block of Pine Grove Road. The juvenile was located.
11:22 a.m. Officers were called to a report of fraud at a business in the 1500 block of Mid Valley Drive. Someone hacked into a computer system and stole reservation information from a property management company. The hacker then used the information to contact clients and ask that money be wired.
11:24 a.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of a person at a motel in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue. A guest had not checked out, and a do-not-disturb sign was on the door. The guest was located inside the room and taken to YVMC for a possible overdose.
1:07 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car crash at the Steamboat Springs Community Center. A car had driven onto the grass and hit some trees. It was suspected the crash was caused by a medical condition.
3:07 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bike stolen from a business in the 800 block of Oak Street.
3:11 p.m. Officers were called to a report of bears getting into a dumpster in the 1600 block of 13th Street.
3:18 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle. It was located nearby, and police suspect the owner forgot where it was parked.
7:03 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a fight at Dream Island Plaza. Two brothers had fought and were gone when officers arrived.
8:57 p.m. Oak Creek Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a sick person in the 18800 block of Muddle Hunt Lane in Phippsburg.
9:57 p.m. Officers were called to a report of trespassing in the 600 block of South Lincoln Avenue. A transient person had been sleeping in an abandoned cabin. The transient was told to leave and not return.
