Police, fire and ambulance calls

7:16 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of criminal mischief in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue. A restaurant logo had been drawn on the sidewalk. It was just chalk.

9:01 a.m. Oak Creek and Yampa Fire Protection District firefighters were called to a report of a fire in the 21600 block of Routt County Road 132. It was a chimney fire.



9:07 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a burglary in the 1300 block of Sparta Plaza. A man accused his neighbors of stealing an ounce of marijuana, paraphernalia and a game system. The man later reported being harassed by the neighbors.

10:13 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a student with marijuana at Steamboat Springs High School. A summons was issued to a minor for possessing marijuana.



11:53 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person in the 1400 block of Pine Grove Road who had fraudulent charges on a credit card.

12:22 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car tailgating and passing illegally at Mount Werner Road and South Lincoln Avenue. The driver was contacted and given a warning.

2:21 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person in the 400 block of Tamarack Drive who had unauthorized charges on a credit card.

3:20 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a stolen vehicle at a Methodist church in the 700 block of Oak Street. It was accidental. An older man who owns a gold Subaru attended an exercise class at the church, and then accidentally drove away in a gold Volvo that belonged to another older man attending the same exercise class. The Volvo was unlocked, and the keys were inside. The man who took the Volvo realized he was driving the wrong vehicle. He attempted to return it to the church, but he mistakenly went to a different church a block away. The man then thought his Subaru had been stolen. Police found the man, and the situation was resolved.

4:16 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person in the 700 block of Hilltop Parkway who said a cellphone account was fraudulently opened.

4:23 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person who was sick in the 1500 block of Lincoln Avenue.

6:47 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a rowdy group of people in a hot tub in the 1800 block of River Queen Lane. A window then was discovered damaged.

7:28 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a male who was holding a bottle in a brown bag and being loud at the post office.

11:29 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a missing person in the 500 block of Tamarack Drive.
