Police, fire and ambulance calls

2:31 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of trespassing in the 700 block of Walton Pond Circle. An intoxicated man brought an intoxicated woman home and then decided he did not want her there. She did not want to leave, so the man called police. Officers gave the woman a ride home.

7:14 a.m. Officers were called to a report of fraud in the 2500 block of Copper Ridge Drive. A business owner received an email from someone who wanted to buy things with a check written for more than the items were worth. The business owner was then supposed to send back the change.



12:48 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a possible drunken driver at a bar in the 1100 block of Yampa Street. An intoxicated man came in to get food and then drove away. The 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

1:25 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who lost a cell phone downtown.



2:03 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who lost a driver’s license.

3:07 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a disturbance at a nursing home in the 2800 block of Owl Hoot Trail. Two male residents got into an argument, and there was some physical contact. The men became upset while watching a football game.

4:01 p.m. Routt County Search and Rescue volunteers were called to help a stranded snowmobiler on Rabbit Ears Pass. The man was able to hike out about 800 yards on his own.

4:21 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a parked car interfering with snow plowing in the 400 block of Emerald Court.

4:56 p.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person with chest pain at Yampa Valley Regional Airport.

5:20 p.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of a woman in the 1500 block of Harwig Circle. She was fine.

5:48 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a very drunken man in the 800 block of Oak Street. The 44-year-old man was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center and then to Routt County Jail and booked on suspicion of third-degree assault, violation of a protection order and violation of bond conditions.

8:59 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person who possibly had a stroke in the 30800 block of Routt County Road 35.

11:45 p.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of an Illinois man who was driving from Steamboat. A woman who had met the man here thought he might be depressed because he was leaving. Kremmling police were contacted to check on the man, who had gotten a hotel room.
