Police, fire and ambulance calls

12:32 a.m. Officers were called to help a woman in the 400 block of Rollingstone Drive. She was concerned about bears and wanted an officer to escort her to her residence.

12:46 a.m. Officers were called to a report of students drinking alcohol and consuming marijuana at Colorado Mountain College. The students were given summonses for possessing alcohol and marijuana.



5:27 a.m. Officers were called to a report of bears continuously getting into trash in the 1700 block of Latigo Loop. The containers were bear proof.

6:56 a.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person who possibly overdosed in the 29900 block of Routt County Road 27.



8:51 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who was yelling and screaming at passing cars in the 800 block of South Lincoln Avenue.

9:47 a.m. West Routt firefighters were called to help a person who fell in the 300 block of South Shelton Lane.

9:52 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help with a gas leak in the 33800 block of Canyon Court.

10:13 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who lost a wallet in the 100 block of Trafalgar Drive.

1:37 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who said her husband was refusing to leave their home in the 1100 block of Longview Circle.

2:33 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet containing $40 in cash lost in the 1700 block of Central Park Drive.

2:52 p.m. A found smashed iPhone was turned in at the police department.

3:28 p.m. Officers were called to a report of $65 stolen from an unlocked car in the 1800 block of Central Park Plaza.

4:38 p.m. Officers were called to a report of person who lost an iPhone on the bus the previous night. It was the smashed phone that had been turned in to police earlier.

4:51 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person having a seizure in the 40200 block of C.R. 36.

5:03 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a reckless driver near mile marker 127 on U.S. Highway 40. The driver was located at the Stock Bridge Transit Center, and the 33-year-old male driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI, careless driving and possession of a controlled substance.

7:51 p.m. Officers were called to a report of threats in the 1800 block of Hunters Court. A man said his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend threatened to kill him next time he comes to Steamboat.

8:37 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a noise complaint on Captain Jack Drive. A person called saying a construction worker was using a loud compactor, and the person thought the worker was drunk. The worker was not drunk.

10:10 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a loud party in the 100 block of Mountain Village Circle. A warning was given.

10:36 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help with a fuel spill near mile marker 18 on C.R. 14.

11:39 p.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a crash near mile marker 17 on C.R. 129.
