Police, fire and ambulance calls
12:30 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of people fighting in the 300 block of South Lincoln Avenue. Several people involved ran away when officers arrived.
1:51 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bouncer who said he contacted someone who said they had been assaulted. When officers talked to the man, he denied being assaulted.
4:36 a.m. Officers were called to a report of trespassing at a restaurant in the 100 block of 11th Street. An employee found a man inside the restaurant. The man was arrested on suspicion of felony second-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, attempted third-degree burglary, attempted theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
10:50 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a disturbance in the 1900 block of Bridge Lane. A mother and father got into an argument while exchanging a child.
12:14 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a business in the 2800 block of Riverside Plaza that received bad checks.
12:50 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person having difficulty breathing in the 700 block of Yampa Street.
2:24 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person with abdominal pain in the 1100 block of West Jefferson Avenue.
3:22 p.m. Officers were called to help with a child abuse investigation in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza.
4:12 p.m. Officers were called to help find a 5-year-old boy on a bike who was missing from the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle. The child was located.
4:30 p.m. Yampa Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person with an unknown medical problem in the 1300 block of Colorado Highway 131.
4:34 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear at the Routt County Courthouse. It was gone when officers arrived.
4:42 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an employee who was receiving prank phone calls in the 2000 block of Curve Plaza.
5:16 p.m. A woman came to the police department and reported receiving harassing text messages from her ex-husband.
5:34 p.m. Officers were called to a report of person who lost a gold money clip with $20 in the 2200 block of Storm Meadows Drive.
6:27 p.m. Officers were called to a report of gas stolen from a station in the 900 block of Weiss Drive. The person came back and paid.
6:49 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to investigate smoke at Cornice Court.
8:21 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who lost a $350 wedding ring at Fetcher Park.
8:44 p.m. Officers were called to a report of two aggressive panhandlers at Central Park Drive and Pine Grove Road.
9:01 p.m. Officers were called to check on a suicidal man who was supposed to go to Yampa Valley Medical Center. He was found and taken there.
9:49 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken man passed out at a bar in the first block of Seventh Street. He was released to a sober person.
10:49 p.m. Officers and Steamboat firefighters were called to a report of three portable toilets on fire at Howelsen Hill. The toilets burned to the ground, and police did not know who was responsible.
11:18 p.m. Officers contacted a suspicious car at Howelsen Hill. Two people were inside being romantic.
