Police, fire and ambulance calls

12:41 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person who was bleeding in the 2800 block of Owl Hoot Trail.

5:24 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a disturbance in the 2700 block of Burgess Creek Road. A man wanted his former girlfriend to leave.



7:25 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear that got into trash in the 1300 block of Indian Trails. The owner was given a warning and left with information about how to avoid receiving a citation.

7:52 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a car that ran a school bus stop sign in the 600 block of Amethyst Drive.



8:48 a.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a student who got hurt while playing with football training equipment at Hayden High School.

11:01 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person in the first block of Sequoia Court who was receiving suspicion phone calls that were suspected to be a phishing scam. A company was offering the person help with student loans.

11:10 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person in the 600 block of Amethyst Drive who had fraudulent charges on a credit card.

11:47 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who thought a drug deal was going on at the Colorado Mountain College parking lot. Police could not locate it.

2:40 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who saw a man with his stolen bike. The man took back his bike while the suspect went into a store. The suspect was given a summons for theft.

6:54 p.m. West Routt firefighters were called to help a person having difficulty breathing in the 300 block of South Shelton Lane.

6:57 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an animal bite at Howelsen Hill. A baseball player was bitten by a loose dog, which was brown and medium-sized.

10:08 p.m. Officers were called to help bar employees with a man they kicked out of the bar in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue. He could not be located.

11:25 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people talking loudly at Little Moon Trail and Tamarack Drive. They could not be located.

11:28 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear growling in a tree next to a trailer in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza. The person who called was concerned the bear was stuck and it would fall into the trailer. Police checked the bear, and it was fine.
