Police, fire and ambulance calls

12:06 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of items, including a rock collection, stolen from a car in the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue.

7:59 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who said a man “came at him” in the 1400 block of South Lincoln Avenue. The suspect then walked away and started yelling at cars. Police contacted the suspect, and he denied doing anything wrong.



9:58 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person who had a stroke in the 31500 block of Routt County Road 14.

10:18 a.m. Officers were called to check on a truck that had been sitting for a couple hours at Shield Drive and 13th Street.



11:32 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a Colorado Mountain College student who said a man was following her. Police could not find the man.

11:51 a.m. Oak Creek Fire Protection District firefighters were called to a report of a wildfire near Routt County Road 29. It was contained.

12:31 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a roommate disturbance in the 800 block of South Lincoln Avenue.

12:34 p.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a sick person in the 700 block of East Lincoln Avenue.

12:54 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help an unconscious person in the 1400 block of Pine Grove Road.

1:14 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person who was bleeding in the 100 block of 12th Street.

1:42 p.m. Yampa Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help with a truck that rolled while pulling a trailer with 30 bulls at Routt County Road 7C. The bulls and the driver were fine.

2:25 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a stove pipe stolen in the 2500 block of South Copper Frontage.

2:53 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who lost a revolver sometime while traveling between Steamboat, Utah and South Dakota.

4:58 p.m. Officers were called to a report of harassment. A man had been seeing a girlfriend while his wife was out of the country for the past couple years. When the wife returned to Steamboat, the girlfriend began sending harassing text messages to the wife and husband. The 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of harassment.
