Police, fire and ambulance calls

5:24 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person who was bleeding at a hotel in the 3200 block of South Lincoln Avenue.

7:16 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of an abandoned car at the Stock Bridge Transit Center.

7:35 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a car speeding in the 700 block of Pahwintah Street. The car could not be located, but officers spoke to other drivers in the area about the speed limit.

8:25 a.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of a person in the 2400 block of Lincoln Avenue. The person was fine.

10:17 a.m. Officers were called to a report of pruning shears shoplifted from a hardware store in the 2100 block of Curve Plaza.

2:14 p.m. Officers were called to help a drunken man with a medical condition in the 1800 block of River Queen Lane.

3:32 p.m. Officers were called to a report of $50 stolen from Steamboat Springs High School.

3:50 p.m. Officers were called to help a drunken man at Yampa Valley Medical Center. Family members had taken the man to YVMC, and he did not want to go.

4:05 p.m. A person came to the police department to report of a phone scam.
