Police, fire and ambulance calls

4:27 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a bear in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza. It was scared off with beanbag rounds.

8:47 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a driver who may have driven off the road coming to Steamboat. The driver was contacted and arrested for a warrant.



10:58 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person in the 2900 block of Abbey who had unauthorized charges on a credit card.

11:11 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a cell phone found at Yampa and Sixth streets.



12:29 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a disturbance at Pine Grove Road and South Lincoln Avenue.

12:36 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a road rage incident at the new stop signs at the Mount Werner Road underpass. Two drivers got out of their cars and started fighting. One man was arrested.

1:57 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a business operating in a residential neighborhood at Eighth Street and Crawford Avenue.

2:04 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a female panhandling at a convenience store in the 500 block of Marketplace Plaza.

3:11 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person with trauma in the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue.

6:53 p.m. West Routt firefighters were called to help a person with a medical problem in the 39800 block of Routt County Road 52.

7:53 p.m. Officers were called to a report of loud music in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza. A warning was given.

8:34 p.m. Officers were called to a report of smoke in the Bear Drive area. People were having a recreational fire, and they were told to put it out.

9:37 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a loud party in the 700 block of Conifer Circle. They quieted down, and police did not need to respond.

10:04 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear in the 2900 block of Riverside Plaza. It was scared away.

10:46 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear on Mid Valley Drive. It was gone when officers arrived.

11:10 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car speeding around with no headlights at the Meadows parking lot.

11:50 p.m. Officers were called to a report of construction noise at Chinook Lane and Walton Creek Road.
