Police, fire and ambulance calls
12:43 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person who possibly overdosed in the 2000 block of Curve Plaza.
1:50 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a drunken person in the 1900 block of Storm Meadows Drive.
2:22 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a hotel that needed a drunken person removed from the property in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle. The person was released to a sober friend.
2:23 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a man passed out at the Fifth Street bus stop. A sober person came and picked him up.
7:16 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a crash at U.S. Highway 40 and Routt County Road 33A. There were four other crashes during the day. A woman was pinned under her car after it rolled on the west side of Steamboat, and she had very serious injuries. Another woman was in a rollover crash, but her injuries were not life threatening.
7:43 a.m. Officers were called to a report of criminal mischief at a tunnel in the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue. People were skiing on rails.
8:23 a.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person having difficulty breathing in the 100 block of South Fifth Street.
8:36 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who lost a backpack in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.
11:48 a.m. Officers were called to help a motel owner evict a tenant in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue.
12:09 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person who fell in the 200 block of Wild Hogg Drive.
12:17 p.m. Officers were called to help someone operate a handicapped elevator in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue. They were gone when officers arrived.
2:36 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people panhandling and taking cigarettes out of ashtrays in the 2500 block of Village Drive. They were gone when officers arrived.
2:38 p.m. Officers were called to help tenants who got locked out of their motel rooms because they did not pay in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue. They got their things and left.
3:25 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people walking around with open containers of alcohol at the Gondola Transit Center. There were many people walking around with open containers of alcohol.
3:33 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person who fell in the 28700 block of Grouse Creek Park Road.
3:54 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a driver who was upset because a hotel employee did not let the driver go onto the property to pick up skiers in the 2200 block of Village Inn Court. The hotel wanted the driver to be given a trespass warning, but the driver could not be located.
4:54 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an abandoned bike at Bud Werner Memorial Library.
4:54 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a sick person in the first block of Anglers Drive.
5:29 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 2400 block of Storm Meadows Drive. A condo owner found the door open. It was thought that the property manager opened the door.
5:39 p.m. Officers contacted a drunken person at the Knoll Parking Lot. They were given a ride home.
6:20 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car blocking other cars in the 800 block of Eighth Street.
6:46 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken person in the Knoll Parking Lot. He was given a ride home.
7:07 p.m. Oak Creek firefighters were called to help a person with chest pain at Soroco High School.
8:01 p.m. Officers contacted a drunken man at the Knoll Parking Lot.
8:56 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who said her ex-boyfriend was knocking on her door and would not go away. The man was given a warning.
9:09 p.m. Officers contacted a drunken man in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle. He was given a ride.
9:21 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken person at a bus stop on the west side of Steamboat. The person had gotten a ride before officers arrived.
10:06 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken man with a Dallas Cowboys shirt who fell face first into the ground. He was given a ride home.
10:08 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bar employee in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue who found a box of ammunition on the dance floor Jan. 3.
10:46 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people being loud in the 1300 block of Sparta Plaza.
11:14 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people being loud in the 1500 block of Shadow Run Court. A warning was given.
11:38 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people being loud in the 600 block of Tamarack Drive.
