Police, fire and ambulance calls
12:37 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a disturbance in the 3100 block of Columbine Drive. A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault.
8:34 a.m. Officers were called to a report of fraud in the 2800 block of Alpenglow Way. A person received a phone call from someone claiming to be with the Internal Revenue Service.
9:02 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a Craigslist scam in the 1100 block of Mountain Village Circle. A person advertised a room for rent and received a check for more than what was required. The person was supposed to send back money. It was likely a bad check.
12:11 p.m. Officers were called to check on a person possibly passed out in a condo in the 700 block of Tamarack Drive. The person was fine.
12:25 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person who fell in the 2100 block of Curve Court.
12:28 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who lost a wedding ring a few weeks ago at a business on Central Park Drive. A man turned in the ring at the business, and then he came back and said he would take it to the police department. The man never turned it in to police.
12:36 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help with a crash at Anglers Drive and South Lincoln Avenue.
3:38 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a road rage incident at Third Street and Lincoln Avenue. A cyclist was cut off by a driver. The cyclist and driver exchanged words.
3:39 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a sick person in the 300 block of Ninth Street.
4:04 p.m. Officers were called to a report of shoplifting at a grocery store in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. A man took two boxes of vitamins, a bottle of shampoo and then got on a bus. The man could not be located.
4:35 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet stolen out of a car in the first block of Balsam Court.
4:56 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person in the 500 block of Ore House Plaza who had two unauthorized charges on a credit card in the past month.
6:12 p.m. Officers were called to report of a woman who thought she was being followed in the 1100 block of Yampa Street.
10:41 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who needed medications from a motel that he had been evicted from in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue.
11:06 p.m. Officers were called to a report of loud music and people yelling in the 1300 block of Mountain Village Circle. A warning was given.
11:19 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who was trying to break into a motel room in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue. The man ran away and could not be located.
