Police, fire and ambulance calls

12:36 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident at a motel in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue. A woman was trying to contact someone who she thought stole her laptop. Officers could not find her laptop.

7:39 a.m. Officers were called to a report of two snow blowers stolen from a storage unit in the 1700 block of Lincoln Avenue. They each were worth about $1,000.



8:55 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to a report of a car that crashed into the Yampa River off of River Road. The driver was wet but not hurt.

10:07 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a road bike found in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue.



10:50 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who had questions about the city’s animal defecation rules.

10:55 a.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a drunken man outside the Routt County Sheriff’s Office who wanted to go to detox. He was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center and then detox.

11:12 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a theft at Steamboat Ski Area. A man tried to use someone else’s ski pass. He was given a summons to appear in court.

11:36 a.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person with an unknown medical problem at South Maple Street and East Jefferson Avenue.

11:59 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a disturbance at the Steamboat Springs Animal Shelter. A woman was distraught because shelter staff members would not release her dogs.

1:58 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person having a seizure in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.

2:03 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who had her coat stolen from a bar in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue.

2:06 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a Craigslist scam.

2:10 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a student who had marijuana at Steamboat Springs High School.

2:57 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person having a seizure at Colorado Mountain College.

3:07 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person who had a back injury at Soda Creek Elementary School.

4:11 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who had information about a possible illegal marijuana-growing operation.

4:25 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who lost a driver’s license on the mountain.

5 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who found their cell phone in a housekeeper’s cart in the 1800 block of Ski Time Square Drive.
