Police, fire and ambulance calls

2:11 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers contacted suspicious people in a car in the 1500 block of Lincoln Avenue. A male and female in a car ducked as police drove by. The couple said they were fine and were just talking.

2:27 a.m. Oak Creek Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a sick person in the 200 block of South Sharp Avenue.



3:48 a.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a sick person in the 700 block of Tamarack Drive.

7:58 a.m. Officers were called to a report of unsecured trash in the 200 block of Caribou Lane. A citation was issued.



8:18 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a truck idling and spewing gray smoke in the 2200 block of Downhill Drive. A warning was issued.

1:16 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car accident that occurred earlier. A driver demanded money and reportedly made threats.

1:27 p.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of a person in the 1000 block of The Boulevard.

1:58 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person being verbally abusive in the 1000 block of Village Lane.

2:59 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a two-car, noninjury accident in the 3600 block of Lincoln Avenue. A physical altercation occurred, which involved grabbing. A summons was issued for harassment, and a traffic summons was issued.

5:56 p.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to investigate smoke on Routt County Road 27.

6:05 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who lost about $8,000 worth of jewelry while staying at a hotel in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle.

7:17 p.m. West Routt firefighters were called to help with an unattended death in the 300 block of South Shelton Lane.

2:21 p.m. North Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person with an unknown medical problem in the 26700 block of Placer Place.

7:49 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a disturbance at a hotel in the 700 block of South Lincoln Avenue. An irate guest left and almost hit a car while driving away.

8:28 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an angry pedestrian walking in the 2000 block of Curve Plaza and swerving.

8:32 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a pickup swerving, and the driver was continually hitting the brakes for no reason. The driver could not be located.

9:15 p.m. Officers were called to a report of two cars possibly racing at Fourth Street and Lincoln Avenue. They could not be located.

10:03 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a sick person in the 800 block of Weiss Circle.
