4:44 a.m. Two students at Colorado Mountain College were reported driving up a hill in a jeep and were sliding back down the hill. The pavement reportedly was damaged.

12:30 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported near the intersection of Downhill Drive and West End Village.

1:13 p.m. A water pipe broke at the Howelsen Ice Arena. The leak was found, and the water was cleaned up.

1:31 p.m. A welfare check was made on a man in the 1400 block of Pine Grove Road. The man appeared to be confused, said he had stomach pains and was taken to the hospital.

2:52 p.m. A woman at CMC said her roommate had slapped her. She said the two had gotten into a fight. The two women were assigned different roommates.

5:05 p.m. A $10 gas skip was reported in the 2000 block of Curve Plaza.

5:44 p.m. A boy reported that his brother had stolen his parents’ 1989 Buick from their Phippsburg home. The Routt County Sheriff’s Office found the boy and the car broken down about two hours later on U.S. Forest Service Road 940.

7:08 p.m. An electric pole on Seventh Street, just east of Oak Street, was reported sending out large sparks. The electric company was called and the sparking stopped.
