Police, fire and ambulance calls

1:58 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 300 block of Sixth Street. A woman thought her parents were outside. She appeared to be hallucinating. Police believed she was having problems with medications, and she was advised to contact her doctor.

5:47 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear in an alley in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue. It was gone when officers arrived.



8:40 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear in a yard in the 2000 block of Cornice Road.

9:18 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a $3,500 locked bike stolen from a hotel in the 3200 block of South Lincoln Avenue.



10:08 a.m. Officers were called to a report of an unlocked, older mountain bike stolen in the 400 block of Ore House Plaza.

1:34 p.m. Oak Creek Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person with trauma at Stagecoach State Park.

3:37 p.m. Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers were called to a report of a bear that destroyed a screen door and was on a woman’s deck in the 1200 block of Buckskin Court. The woman scared the bear away with an air horn and later scared the bear away with her German Shepherd.

6 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a large motorhome that knocked over a basketball hoop and damaged a driveway while turning around in the 800 block of Pahwintah Street. The people involved were going to handle the situation without law enforcement.

7:17 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man with a guitar panhandling in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. The man was told to move along.

7:27 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a fight in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza. A 28-year-old man was charged with six felonies and five misdemeanors.

7:42 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person receiving unwanted text messages in the 200 block of Anglers Drive.

8:10 p.m. Officers were called to a report of kids sliding on the plastic ski jumps at Howelsen Hill. A written warning was issued.

8:16 p.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person with a medical problem in the 400 block of South Poplar Street.

10:21 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear that infiltrated a bear-proof dumpster in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.

10:37 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 300 block of South Lincoln Avenue. Suspicious people were seen loading a motorcycle into a truck. Everything was fine.

10:44 p.m. Officers were called to a report of gunshots in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza. It was fireworks, but police could not determine where they came from.
