Police, fire and ambulance calls

12:20 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of people being loud in the 1500 block of Conestoga Circle.

12:48 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear that was repeatedly getting into a dumpster in the 100 block of Trafalgar Drive.



5:33 a.m. Yampa Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person with an unknown medical problem near mile marker 37 on Colorado Highway 131.

8:24 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a possible drunken driver at Routt County Road 32 and Steamboat Boulevard. The driver was sleepy.



8:47 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident at a bar in the 700 block of Yampa Street. A man who was taken to detox the previous night wanted to report he thought he had been drugged. The man submitted blood to be tested, but police think he was just drunk.

9:42 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a neighbor dispute in the 700 block of Amethyst Drive. A neighbor reportedly peeped through the person’s window.

11:18 a.m. North Routt Fire Protection District firefighters and Routt County Search and Rescue volunteers were called to help a person who possibly had a stroke on the South Fork Trail.

1 p.m. Officers were called to a report of gas stolen from a station in the 500 block of South Lincoln Avenue. The person came back and paid.

1:20 p.m. Oak Creek Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person with chest pain in the 300 block of East Main Street.

2:31 p.m. A person came to the police department and reported a fraud.

4:09 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a possible drunken driver in the 2000 block of Shield Drive. The driver was later found and was sober.

5:32 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who was concerned about threats her son made in the 2400 block of Lincoln Avenue.

6:34 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a Jeep that hit a female cyclist in a crosswalk at Pine Grove Road and South Lincoln Avenue. No one involved could be located.

7:08 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help an unconscious person in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.

7:45 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a transient woman who looked like she needed help in the 1900 block of Ski Time Square Drive. She could not be located.

8:49 p.m. Officers were called to a report of fireworks in the area of Valley View.

9:49 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a very drunken man at Medicine Springs Drive and Après Ski Way. He could not be located.

11:29 p.m. Officers contacted a drunken man in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue. The man was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center and was combative. The 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of obstructing a peace officer, felony criminal attempt, felony second-degree assault on a police officer and felony second-degree assault on a firefighter.
