Police, fire and ambulance calls

2:17 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a man who was trying to start fights in front of a bar in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue.

9:15 a.m. Officers were called to a report of fraud in the 3200 block of Willowbrook Court. A woman received a call from someone claiming to be with the “National Drug Traffic Control,” and the person said the woman’s grandson was in jail, and she had two hours to wire $500. She did not wire the money.



9:39 a.m. Officers were called to a report of someone who lost a purse at Emerald Park.

9:49 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help someone with a dislocated shoulder in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue.



9:59 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person in the first block of Hemlock Court who was receiving harassing phone calls from an ex.

10:22 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who was receiving prank phone calls in the 2000 block of Curve Plaza.

3:14 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken man urinating in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue.

3:41 p.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of a woman with alcoholism in the 2400 block of Lincoln Avenue. She could not be located.

5:48 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person whose window had been cracked in the 3200 block of Après Ski Way.

5:50 p.m. Officers were called to check on a child who had bruises at a day care in the 1600 block of Mid Valley Drive. The bruises were from a previous fall.

6:41 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a phone found in the 1100 block of Mountain Village Circle.

6:48 p.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to a report of a fire in the 11900 block of Routt County Road 70. A tree had been struck by lightning.

6:59 p.m. Officers were called to a report of reckless drivers in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza. Warnings were given.

7:19 p.m. Yampa Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help someone with a heat injury in the 25600 block of C.R. 15.

9:24 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a female who was home alone in the 2200 block of Clubhouse Drive, and someone came by several times and knocked on the door.

10:29 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people being loud in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza. They were given a warning.

11:06 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who was bitten by her own dog in the 2900 block of Riverside Plaza.

11:11 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear getting into trash in the 2900 block of Riverside Plaza.

11:58 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people being loud in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza. A warning was given.
