Steamboat Springs — Police, fire and ambulance calls
1:24 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a possible drunken driver at Lincoln Avenue and Dream Island Plaza. Police were unable to locate the driver.
1:15 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken man who was staggering at Fifth and Oak streets. The man submitted to a breath test that found his blood alcohol content to be 0.246 percent. The man was taken to detox.
5:34 a.m. Colorado State Patrol troopers were called to a noninjury car crash near mile marker 117 on U.S. Highway 40.
10:27 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a noninjury car crash at Anglers Drive and South Lincoln Avenue.
12:42 p.m. Officers were called to a report of shots fired in the 2900 block of South Lincoln Avenue. Officers were unable to locate the source of the noise.
3:47 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious man asking customers for money at a store in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. The man was asked to leave.
4:35 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious person in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. The same man from a previous call came back to the service center at the store asking for money. The man was given a trespass warning and later was arrested for disorderly contact.
6:02 p.m. Troopers were called to a report of a noninjury car crash at mile marker 117 on U.S. 40.
6:10 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 1100 block of Mountain Village Circle. A man who was putting a bike back into his apartment was approached by a man who told him “you might die” before rambling on about other things. Police were unable to locate the man.
6:12 p.m. Routt County Sherriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a noninjury car crash on Rabbit Ears Pass.
6:30 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a noninjury car crash near the Timbers Condominiums in Steamboat Springs.
7:39 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an intoxicated man asking customers for money in a store in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. The man was gone when police arrived.
9 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an assault in the 2000 block of Curve Plaza. Police said a cook and a bartender were arguing in the kitchen and one of them reportedly slapped the other. Police mediated the argument.
9:25 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken man who had removed all of his clothes except for his underwear at a bus stop at Snow Bowl Plaza. The 30-year-old man took off his shirt while riding the bus. The bus then became stuck at the Snow Bowl Plaza stop, and while the driver waited for assistance, the drunken man took off his pants, shoes and socks outside. The bus driver called police, and officers arrested the man for disorderly conduct. Police said they had contacted the same man twice earlier in the day for soliciting money from customers at a store in Central Park Plaza.
