Police, fire and ambulance calls

1:31 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a drunken driver in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue. The person who called police found the driver asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle while the engine was running. The driver, who was parked on Lincoln Avenue, drove off when the person tried to take the keys away from the driver. Police pulled over the driver on Yampa Street and arrested him on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to display tail lights.

2:03 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a possible drunken driver behind the wheel of a green pickup at Eighth Street and Lincoln Avenue. Police were unable to locate the pickup.



8:57 p.m. Officers were called to a report of person who lost a wallet at Safeway.

11:18 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a loud bang that sounded like a gunshot in the 500 block of Eaglepointe Court. Police investigated the area and found it to be quiet. Nothing out of the ordinary was found.
