Police, fire and ambulance calls

1:49 a.m. Officers doing a walkthrough of a bar found two men in the same bathroom stall in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue. Police asked the men to leave.

2:55 a.m. Officers were called to a complaint about people talking loudly in the 1800 block of Medicine Springs Drive. The people were told to keep it down.



10 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a driver who accelerated toward pedestrians crossing the street at Walton Creek Road and Whistler Road. The man crossing the street said he has an older dog that takes longer to cross, and a vehicle coming downhill on Walton Creek Road appeared to be accelerating toward him and the dog while they were crossing. Police said the man and the driver exchanged some words and hand gestures. The driver denied speeding and said the man was blocking traffic by standing in the middle of the street. Police issued the driver a ticket for careless driving, and the man who was crossing the street was issued a ticket for disorderly conduct.

1:58 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet that was found on the Yampa River Core Trail. The wallet was returned to its owner.



2:50 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who thought he saw a drug deal occur downtown while he was shopping Saturday.

3:10 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a possible drunken driver who had hit a cyclist downtown on Lincoln Avenue. A gray Ford pickup reportedly brushed up against the biker while the pickup was driving erratically. The cyclist, who was not knocked down by the pickup, attempted to pursue the pickup to get the license plate information. Police identified the vehicle, but when they showed up to talk to the man who was suspected of driving it, he did not answer the door. Police were trying to contact him Monday so they could issue him a ticket.

3:17 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an argument between a landlord and a tenant in the 300 block of Cherry Drive. A woman said her landlord wanted her out early, and a physical altercation ensued.

4:14 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet that was found on the Yampa River Core Trail.

5:58 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue paramedics were called to help a person who was having difficult breathing in the 1800 block of Medicine Springs Drive.

7:04 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 1700 block of Lincoln Avenue. A person saw an outdoor freezer door open, and it appeared as though food items were thawing in the sun. The freezer door was eventually closed.

9:44 p.m. Officers and Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue paramedics were called to a report of a drunken person stumbling on the road at Walton Creek and Whistler roads. The man was released to a sober party.

11:26 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken man who passed out on a bus at Riverside Drive. The man was so intoxicated, he could not provide officers with his name. The man was taken to detox and then to the hospital because of his level of intoxication.
