12:39 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of people who were being loud after being asked to be quiet in the 1000 block of Merritt Street. Officers gave a warning.
8:52 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a board in the middle of U.S. Highway 40. The board was moved.
11:20 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a dead coyote near mile marker 66 on Colorado Highway 131.
11:35 a.m. A person came to the police station and wanted to talk to an officer about a juvenile slashing tires.
11:55 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a man’s drunken son passed out in Steamboat. The son received medical attention.
11:58 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a black Gary Fisher bike stolen in the 3300 block of Après Ski Way.
12:07 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a man at his home on Filly Trail near Stagecoach who said another man had shot a gun toward him from the woods. The man in his home returned fire, and deputies were not able to locate the man in the woods. The investigation is ongoing. Read more about the incident here.
2:04 p.m. Officers were called to a report of suspicious people at a business in the 1400 block of South Lincoln Avenue. An employee reported that an intoxicated woman came in with a black eye and an intoxicated man yelled at her and escorted her out. The couple then drove away.
3:37 p.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of a man who said he was going to hurt himself and was living in a white van in the 1600 block of Shadow Run Court. Officers went and checked the van several times but could not find the man.
5:04 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a young boy throwing rocks at cars driving by in Steamboat. Officers could not find the boy.
8:07 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of drivers going too fast in the 7000 block of Routt County Road 65 in Hayden. The drivers could not be found.
8:54 p.m. Officers contacted a 21-year-old man in the 200 block of Howelsen Parkway and issued a summons for possession of marijuana.
11:32 p.m. Officers were called to a report of fireworks in the 900 block of Pamela Lane. Officers could not find the source of the fireworks.
