12:34 a.m. A man reported a bike stolen from the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue. As he was reporting the theft to one officer, another officer spotted the bike on the 1000 block of Lincoln. The man was happy to have the bike back.
2:13 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a party on the 400 block of Blue Sage Circle. Several people were drinking, playing loud music and yelling from a deck. They were asked to keep quiet.
2:17 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken pedestrian lying down on the sidewalk at the corner of Eighth Street and Lincoln Avenue. The person got up and couldn’t be found by police.
1:16 p.m. Officers were called to a report of gas theft on the 500 block of South Lincoln Avenue. An attendant had reported that someone had pumped gas, then driven away. Police contacted the suspect and issued a ticket for theft of motor fuel.
1:29 p.m. Officers returned a found backpack to a man on the 3100 block of South Lincoln Avenue. They then realized the man’s friend, who also was there, had two warrants out for arrest. They arrested the friend.
2:01 p.m. Police were called to an incident of road rage on the 1100 block of Lincoln. A person was mad because another driver was going too slow through downtown. There is no minimum speed for downtown Steamboat, so no laws were broken.
4:05 p.m. Police were called to a report of shots fired on the 2800 block of Golf Stream Court. Someone reported hearing eight shots in a row and thought it was small arms fire. Police searched the area and didn’t find any evidence of a shooting but noticed several houses nearby were under construction.
7:55 p.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of an assault at the 21400 block of U.S. Highway 40 in Milner.
9:05 p.m. Officers noticed someone with an open container of alcohol outside a restaurant on the 600 block of Yampa Street. The person was asked to pour the beverage out, and he or she complied.
9:24 p.m. Officers were called to a suspicious incident on the 100 block of Hillside Drive. People were seen trying to enter a house. They were high school students who had heard there was a party. They had the address wrong and left.
