Monday, Oct. 6

1:01 a.m. Police responded to a report of “frisky” behavior at Coyote Springs restaurant. The patrons settled down after officers arrived.

8:17 a.m. A hit-and-run was reported in the Steamboat Springs High School parking lot. No one was injured. Police located the driver, who was a young man, and issued a ticket.



10:43 a.m. Police responded to a report of someone riding a motorcycle on the Yampa River Core Trail near the Depot Art Center. Police couldn’t locate the suspect.

12:20 p.m. A bicycle reportedly was stolen from in front of a dorm at Colorado Mountain College. A report was taken.



5:13 p.m. A bicyclist reportedly rode through a red light at the intersection of Pine Grove Road and U.S. Highway 40. Police were unable to locate the individual.

6:48 p.m. A mail box on Routt County Road 44 was inadvertently knocked down by a passing vehicle.

9:01 p.m. A black bear was reported in Sundance Plaza. A Domino’s Pizza employee reportedly was chasing the bear. A wildlife officer was contacted to check the area for bear activity.
