Police, fire and ambulance calls

2:12 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of people talking loudly in the 1200 block of Hilltop Parkway. They were given a warning.

2:37 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken man banging on a door in the 1000 block of Merritt Street. He was at the wrong house. The 31-year-old was arrested for violating a protection order, which forbids him from drinking alcohol.



8:55 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a car driving through a construction zone in the 800 block of Weiss Circle.

9:04 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a crash near mile marker 3 on Routt County Road 16. There were 12 other crashes reported during the day.



9:11 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person with an unknown medical problem in the first block of Anglers Drive.

10:07 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who was flipping people off and yelling at 11th Street and Lincoln Avenue. He was gone when officers arrived.

12:07 p.m. Officers were called to a report of gas stolen from a business in the 1400 block of South Lincoln Avenue. The person returned and paid.

12:23 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a phone stolen the previous night from a bar in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue.

12:53 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who saw a car crash into the side mirror of a car parked in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue. The driver was located and ticketed for careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and for not notifying police.

1:30 p.m. Officers were called to a report of bar employees who wanted a drunken man removed in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue. He left before officers arrived.

1:59 p.m. Officers were called to a report of bar employees who wanted the same drunken man removed in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue. He left before officers arrived.

3:59 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a teenager speeding at Pine Grove Road and South Lincoln Avenue. The driver could not be located.

4:17 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car doing donuts at Howelsen Hill. It was gone when officers arrived.

4:45 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an $800 snowboard stolen from Steamboat Ski Area.

9:39 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person having a seizure in the 1900 block of Storm Meadows Drive.

10:46 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken man lying in a ditch in the 1900 block of Cornice Road. Officers contacted a man who was younger than 21 years old. He was given a summons for minor in possession of alcohol and was given a ride to his grandfather’s house.
