12:22 a.m. A passing motorist reported seeing sparks at the Mount Werner substation. Everything was fine.

1:08 a.m. A burglar alarm went off in the 500 block of South Lincoln Avenue. Everything was fine.



4:16 a.m. A structure fire was reported in the 1200 block of Saratoga Avenue. Exterior siding caught fire, possibly because of an exterior motion light. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue quickly extinguished the flames. The fire caused minor damage.

8:08 a.m. A suspicious incident was reported on Whistler Road, where a man riding a city bus made obscene gestures at children. The man was asked not to use public transportation anymore.



9:02 a.m. A parking complaint was received at Oak and Sixth streets. Police issued a citation.

9:52 a.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported in the 2600 block of Copper Ridge Circle. Police took a report.

10:17 a.m. Theft of utility services was reported in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue in Oak Creek.

11:59 a.m. A bear was reported in the 700 block of Marketplace Plaza. The Colorado Division of Wildlife was notified.

12:58 p.m. A fire alarm went off in the 2500 block of Ski Trail Lane. Everything was fine.

1:03 p.m. Theft of a laptop and camera was reported in Steamboat Springs. The items were stolen from a vehicle about three weeks ago. Police took a report.

1:45 p.m. A fire alarm went off in the 600 block of Marketplace Plaza. Everything was fine.

2:51 p.m. A dog at large was reported at Ninth Street and Lincoln Avenue. The animal was gone when police arrived.

3:36 p.m. An illegally parked vehicle was towed from the 2900 block of Columbine Drive.

4:37 p.m. A fire alarm went off in the 2200 block of Village Inn Court. Everything was fine.

5:44 p.m. A parking complaint was received from the 1800 block of Central Park Drive, where a vehicle was parked in the right-of-way. The vehicle was gone when police arrived.

6:01 p.m. A burglar alarm went off in the 100 block of 11th Street. Everything was fine.

7:47 p.m. A fight in progress was reported on Dream Island Plaza, where two women were having an argument. One of the women, who was highly intoxicated, was transported to the hospital on a detox hold.

7:50 p.m. A bear was reported in a tree on Ski Trail Lane.

9:03 p.m. Vandalism was reported in the 1600 block of Conestoga Way, where children shooting a pellet gun damaged a vehicle.

9:21 p.m. Theft of a purse was reported from a vehicle parked on 13th Street.
