12:02 a.m. A man reported loud fireworks and people drinking in the 2700 block of Acre Lane. The residents were given a warning.
1:22 a.m. An intoxicated person was taken to detox from near Yampa and Sixth streets.
1:59 a.m. An underage drinker was given a minor in possession ticket in the 300 block of Eighth Street.
2:29 a.m. Several people reportedly tried to steal a 6-foot wooden bear from the 2200 block of Village Inn Court. Security officers caught the people dragging the bear down the street. The people ran off when the security officers contacted them. A report was taken.
2:29 a.m. People reportedly were screaming loudly in the 400 block of Eighth Street.
2:54 a.m. A man reportedly was assaulted in Grand County on U.S. Highway 40 near mile marker 154. Steamboat ambulance crews picked up the man and took him to the hospital.
10:54 a.m. Youths reportedly were lighting off fireworks in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza, damaging a business’ light pole.
11:05 a.m. A man reportedly was calling and harassing his former coworkers in the 1100 block of Yampa Street.
11:20 a.m. A small fire was reported in the 200 block of Howelsen Parkway. Police said fireworks from Tuesday night or Wednesday morning probably started the blaze. People on Howelsen Hill were able to put the fire out before firefighters got there, police said.
11:44 a.m. Two neighbors reportedly were arguing in the 3000 block of Columbine Drive. One man was given a ticket.
12:34 p.m. Former residents of a home in the 200 block of Lincoln Street in Yampa reportedly broke the meter box and were trying to steal electricity. A report was taken.
2:13 p.m. A woman thought she saw a man who was sitting in an alley between Seventh and Eighth streets throw a puppy into a Dumpster.
2:43 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury, hit-and-run accident was reported in the 1500 block of Shadow Run Frontage.
3:29 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury, hit-and-run accident was reported near Lincoln Avenue and Sixth Street.
3:37 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury, hit-and-run accident was reported in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.
7:18 p.m. A woman reportedly saw a man carrying a rifle near Fairview Drive and Saratoga Avenue. The man was gone when officers arrived.
10 p.m. A drunken man reportedly was wandering around and looking into cars in the 3600 block of Lincoln Avenue.
