9:29 a.m. Someone turned in a ring to the police department.
9:29 a.m. Someone turned in a wallet to the police department.
9:28 a.m. Someone reportedly tore a Laundromat coin machine off a wall in the 800 block of Weiss Drive. Police said the incident occurred between 5 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday. The suspect or suspects reportedly disabled the Laundromat’s power and punched through the wall to gain access to the machine. No arrests have been made, and the incident is under investigation.
9:51 a.m. Someone reportedly broke into a restaurant in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue and stole cash and seven or eight bottles of liquor. Police said the suspect or suspects reportedly gained access to the business from its back door between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Thursday. No arrests have been made, and the incident is under investigation.
12:30 p.m. A woman reportedly found a dent in her car after it was parked in the 600 block of Marketplace Plaza.
12:53 p.m. A loose dog reportedly was taken to the shelter from the 100 block of Spruce Street.
12:53 p.m. A woman reportedly lost her cell phone near 13th Street and Lincoln Avenue.
5:36 p.m. A 20-year-old Steamboat Springs woman was arrested for failing to appear and for being a fugitive of justice in the 2000 block of Shield Drive.
6:03 p.m. A business owner in the 2200 block off Lincoln Avenue was concerned that people were throwing trash in the business’ Dumpster. A report was taken.
6:12 p.m. A gray Audi reportedly was scratched when the wind blew over a tent in the 800 block of Howelsen Parkway. Police told the car’s owner the situation was a civil problem, not a criminal issue.
8:44 p.m. A man reportedly found a 9-year-old child walking along AprÃs Ski Way. Police picked up the boy and learned that his parents were staying at a local hotel. The boy was returned to his parents.
10:04 p.m. A man in the 3000 block of Covey Circle reportedly heard a shotgun blast and pellets hitting his house. Police could not find any damage to the man’s home and could not confirm with neighbors that anyone else heard the alleged blast.
10:23 p.m. A dog near 10th Street and Lincoln Avenue reportedly bit a 20-year-old woman.
10:26 p.m. Two roommates reportedly were arguing in the 1800 block of Hunters Drive. Officers mediated the situation.
