3:26 a.m. A 34-year-old Steamboat Springs man was arrested in the 1500 block of Woodbridge Court on suspicion of failing to appear in court.

3:56 a.m. Barbecue coals reportedly ignited a porch in the 2000 block of Montview Court. Police said that someone put out the small fire with a water pitcher, and that no injuries or major damage was reported. The porch was slightly scorched, police said.



6:51 a.m. A man reported finding offensive writing about him on five or six cars in the 2300 block of Lincoln Avenue.

10 a.m. A 14-year-old boy was taken to the hospital from Ski Time Square because he was suffering from an arm injury.



12:10 p.m. A man reported someone parking “on a curve” near Apres Ski Way and Longthong Road.

1:05 p.m. Two Craig men were injured when the Jeep they were driving rolled on C.R. 78 in Hayden. One man was cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, careless driving and not having insurance. The same man was later flown to Denver because of the extent of his injuries.

2:08 p.m. A dog tied up outside a business in the 1800 block of Central Park Plaza reportedly bit a man on the hand. A report was taken.

2:39 p.m. A small wildfire reportedly began in the backyard of a home in the 2700 block of Ridge Road. The fire was contained, and no injuries or damage was reported.

2:47 p.m. A woman’s car reportedly was keyed in the 500 block of Laurel Street.

3:01 p.m. A 39-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested in Oak Creek on suspicion of violating his probation and harassment.

3:32 p.m. A car reportedly ran into a trashcan in the 3100 block of Ingles Lane.

6:20 p.m. A sailboat reportedly capsized on Stagecoach Reservoir. No injuries were reported, and Stagecoach State Park rangers helped tow the boat back to the marina. A wakeboarder also dislocated his or her knee in a separate incident on the reservoir, officials said Wednesday.

7:32 p.m. A 53-year-old Steamboat Springs man was arrested on Colorado Highway 131 in Yampa on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, failing to notify police of an accident and failing to drive in a single lane after he reportedly ran into a little barn and left the scene of the accident. No injuries were reported.

9:27 p.m. A car reportedly was swerving on Lincoln Avenue near Third Street. The car was gone when officers arrived.

10:38 p.m. Someone reported hearing fireworks “going off for 30 minutes” in the 800 block of Howelsen Parkway. The area was quiet when officers arrived.

10:41 p.m. A man in the first block of Balsam Court reportedly heard someone outside his door “threatening to beat someone up.” The man was gone when officers arrived.

11:15 p.m. Two men reportedly were fighting in the 400 block of Sharp Avenue in Oak Creek. The men were gone when officers arrived.
