12:28 a.m. A man in the 1300 block of Bob Adams Drive wanted officers to check on a student “who was having a bad day.” Officers found the underage student drinking alcohol in his dorm room. He was given a minor-in-possession citation and was taken to detox.

2:53 a.m. A man near the James Brown Soul Center of the Universe Bridge reported an injured deer hobbling around.



3:53 a.m. The same man reported a different deer being hit by a car near the Stock Bridge Transit Center.

7:39 a.m. Someone near Third and Oak streets reported a broken-down truck facing the wrong direction in traffic. Officers assisted the truck’s driver.



7:44 a.m. A 90-year-old woman in the 600 block of Pine Street was taken to the hospital because she said she couldn’t walk.

9:02 a.m. A woman in the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue reported her car stereo stolen.

9:15 a.m. A woman on U.S. Highway 40 near Routt County Road 33 reported that someone hit her car and forced her into a ditch while she was driving. The woman said the driver of the other car left the scene of the accident. Colorado State Patrol troopers said the accident was not a hit-and-run accident because there was no evidence to prove the woman’s car had been hit by another vehicle. The woman was not injured.

9:43 a.m. A man in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue reported someone had stolen his $500 cell phone.

10:56 a.m. A man in the first block of Cypress Court reported a black dog running loose in the neighborhood and chasing the man down the street.

11:24 a.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported on Anglers Drive.

12:43 p.m. A restaurant owner in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue reported that a painting worth $200 was stolen Monday.

1:07 p.m. A two-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported near 13th Street and Shield Drive.

1:07 p.m. A man in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue reported a suspicious man who gave two bad credit card numbers to an employee. Officers transported the man to Steamboat Mental Health Center.

2:51 p.m. The driver of a blue Chevrolet Suburban reportedly ran a school bus stop sign near Seventh and Oak streets. The driver was ticketed.

8:07 p.m. A 30-year-old man from Yampa was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault, second-degree assault, harassment, violating a restraining order and obstructing the use of a telephone in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue in Yampa.

8:53 p.m. A man in the 1500 block of Shadow Run Frontage reported a stereo amplifier, DVD player and stereo speaker stolen from his car. The man told officers he thought his son might have stolen the items. Officers were not able to contact the man’s son Thursday night.

9:23 p.m. A man in the 2600 block of AprÃs Ski Way wanted officers to check on a 20-year-old man acting weird on the bus.

9:59 p.m. A 50-year-old man from Steamboat Springs was arrested on suspicion of driving under suspension and driving under the influence of alcohol on Mount Werner Circle. Officers said the man was broadsided by another vehicle when he attempted to make a left turn onto Mount Werner Road. The arrested driver complained about neck and back pain and was taken to the hospital. No one else was injured in the accident.
